This time it's only a photoentry! I want to share these fabulous Roxie shots Kelevar Photography took when I was visiting Jpopcon in Denmark. I have followed her work for a while and I was very excited that she agreed to have a quick shoot with me at the convention. The light and feeling in these is simply beautiful (actually reminds me a lot of The Great Gatsby too).

This entry is a little different and not about cosplay. Instead like the title says, I'll talk a little about my national costume. Mine is from my home area, Kokemäki. A lot of people choose their costume based on where they are from, but you can also pick any costume you like, so it's not limited in any way. The costumes are generally on the expensive side if you want to make it your self or buy new, but you can get some good deals on second hand national costumes. I was given mine as a gift from a relative who'd grown out of it.
I promised to upload my presentation about thermoplastics for beginners, and I apologize for being a little late with it! Unfortunately the actual presentation is more of a list, rather than an in depth lesson, because I use it as notes when I explain about the materials, but if you have been to the lecture this might help bring some things back to mind.
Uploading it here feels like I need to update and make it a bit more visually pleasing, since this version relies on me doing the talking. ^^; Maybe I can upload a better version later!
In the meanwhile, I've been working on Cassandra's shield and sword to get them ready for Desucon~
I made the costume in 2017 and took it to the WCS alumni trip, but it's never felt really finished with the missing props. I'll do another post about them once they are finished!

Gosh damn, it's been forever since I updated here! Life's been all kind of crazy for the last couple of years and I didn't even realize how long it's been since my last update. I won't go into the details except say I have been very, very tired and overwhelmed and I haven't felt like being able to concentrate on costumes properly since Roxie. I've had a big change in my work life though and now I'm finally starting to pick up on how to work on a project again. A big thing is that I haven't completed projects so I haven't really felt like there's much I can write about. ..Or had any time or energy to report much.

We went to have a long, long looooong over due horsie photoshoot with Mialiina, and I recently got a new Canon Gx7 for vlogging and travel purposes so I wanted to start and try to test that out. I'm patiently and eagerly waiting to see the actual results of the shoot, but here's a silly little vid of the day ^^
(I just felt like doing the make up part in the beginning, it's not the complete routine with all the products shown here. Just trying to learn how to film different things. Also I'm still trying to learn the settings so sorry about that too.)
Some costume notes! Like I said previously Chicago is something I've always wanted to make a costume from, but it took a while before I had the epiphany of what it should be. Afterwards it just seemed so clear I felt kinda doofus for not thinking about it earlier.
